My general scientific interests are
Quantitative MR (including Dynamic Contrast Enhanced imaging,
and measurements in the brain).
I have over 220 publications, 33,000
citations and an h-index of 85.
I have edited and part-written

Quantitative MRI of the
brain: measuring changes caused by disease and Quantitative MRI of the brain: principles of
physical measurement

From 1985 to 2006 I was in the NMR Research Unit, Institute of Neurology, Queen
Square, London (part of UCL); from 1998 I was Professor of
Medical Physics.
In 2014 my paper on DCE-MRI (1991)
was recognised as one of the 30 most influential papers
published in the journal Magnetic
Resonance in Medicine.
